The San Diego State University Occasional Archaeological Papers (SOAP)
Started in 2005, the San Diego State University Occasional Archaeological Papers (SOAP) is a free and accessible conduit for research, analysis, and scholarship of San Diego archaeology and the work of San Diego archaeologists. It fluctuates in content and format, with some volumes being an assortment of analytical reports and others including interpretive discussions centered about a common theme. The journal's flexibility is designed to encourage submissions from a wide variety of disciplines and research interests that can broaden and deepen insights into San Diego's past and the archaeology performed by San Diego professionals.
